Paul Wagner

SECRETARY/PRODUCER

MS, LPC

Paul Wagner is a founding member and Secretary/Producer of Psyched to Practice, bringing over 11 years of mental health experience to his role in creating accessible, engaging continuing education content for mental health professionals.

Since co-founding the platform as a podcast in 2022, Paul has been instrumental in developing quality educational resources that bridge the gap between clinical expertise and practical application.

With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in Mental Health and Community Counseling from McDaniel College, Paul has spent the past six years in outpatient therapy, specializing in ADHD, executive functioning, and communication. His clinical background also includes work as a behavioral support specialist and clinical coordinator for an autism day treatment program. As an individual with ADHD himself, Paul brings a unique perspective to his work, understanding firsthand the challenges of shame, disconnection, and performance difficulties that often accompany neurodivergence.

At Psyched to Practice, Paul manages multiple responsibilities centered around content creation and production. He develops and designs online continuing education courses, handles technical setup and recording, and serves as both host and producer/editor of the Psyched to Practice Podcast. His approach focuses on challenging mental health professionals to share their knowledge more openly, increasing the dissemination of quality information both within and beyond traditional therapy settings.

Paul's clinical philosophy emphasizes leveraging understanding of executive functioning to develop practical, maintainable skills that promote success. He works to help clients move beyond ADHD-related shame and doubt, supporting them in developing pride in themselves and maintaining meaningful connections with others. His work addresses depression, anxiety, anger management, relational concerns, and life stressors alongside his ADHD specialization.

Outside of his professional work, Paul enjoys spending time with family, traveling, hiking, camping, kayaking, snowboarding, listening to live music, and reading.

"At a young age, I had a knack for listening and the patience to truly hear someone's full story, though I didn't realize what a gift that was at the time. Now, I see every day as an opportunity to listen, learn, and share. Through this platform, my hope is to help others grow by offering meaningful, thoughtful content that gets them Psyched to do what they do."
